Work toward 850 consistent participants at $100 a month, with contributions recorded and reported.
Our goal: 850 participants building a lasting capital base together. Turn consistent monthly contributions into income that can help fund family protection, opportunity, and the next generation.

$85,000 × 102 months = contributions over 8½ years.
This total counts no investment growth during accumulation.
The intended outcome: support a $500,000 annual insurance budget while aiming to preserve the underlying capital.
Planning illustration, not current participation or a promised return. Assumes all 850 participants contribute every month without withdrawals. Taxes, expenses, losses, and changing yields affect the outcome.
With $85,000 invested at each month’s end and a constant assumed 6% nominal annual return compounded monthly, the illustrated balance reaches $11,273,998 after 8½ years. At a subsequent 6% annual yield, that represents $676,440 a year before taxes and expenses.
The $8.33 million threshold needed to generate $500,000 annually at 6% is reached in month 80 — about 6 years, 8 months. All earnings are reinvested during this period. Insurance premiums paid during accumulation require separate funding.
Actual returns fluctuate. These figures model a constant return; they do not establish an available investment rate or a guaranteed completion date.

Build reserves and reinvest earnings. Keep the growing capital base focused on the long-term goal.
Use sustainable net income to support an insurance program sized to actual funding and carrier pricing.
Aim to preserve capital, review coverage and income, and prepare the next generation to steward it.
Insurance is a central part of the plan: protect the people, help cover life’s disruptions, and develop a reserve for the family’s future.
Explore whole life coverage for long-term death-benefit protection and cash-value accumulation. Cash value may support policy loans under the contract’s terms.
Evaluate additional life coverage for the years it is needed, with conversion options subject to the policy’s rules.
Evaluate disability income protection for eligible earners and long-term care coverage to help address qualifying care needs.
Explore coverage on eligible young family members with a long planning horizon. Ownership, consent, funding, and benefits must be defined before enrollment.
The $500,000 annual figure is a planning budget for the overall insurance program. It is not a promise of $500,000 to each participant, and a $100 contribution does not automatically issue a policy or determine an individual benefit.
Policy loans accrue interest. Unpaid balances reduce available benefits and can put coverage at risk. Final premiums, coverage, ownership, and any borrowing plan depend on actual carrier illustrations, underwriting, and program terms.
Coverage is planned, not currently issued through this initiative. Illustrated cash values in the planning documents are estimates, not carrier guarantees. The funding illustration above excludes insurance spending during accumulation.
The Salaam-Byrd Family Office brings the Salaam and Byrd lines together around a shared intention: that what we build should outlast us and serve the children who come after us.
Our founding charter sets four purposes: preserve capital, produce durable income, finance approved family opportunities on documented terms, and support future generations. We intend to build modestly and deliberately, with discipline rather than haste.
Three connected priorities guide the institution we are building.
Plan for family protection and liquidity, preserve capital, and keep clear records of what the family owns and how it is managed.
Build productive holdings and reinvest income. Consider family ventures and financing opportunities through documented decisions and responsible oversight.
Pass on assets and the discipline to steward them. Develop a sustainable children’s program alongside financial education and orderly succession.
Objectives from the founding charter. Each is developed as the family’s resources and readiness allow.
Evaluate life, disability income, and long-term care coverage around each family need, with policy ownership and purpose considered individually.
Develop a portfolio of dividend-paying stocks and funds, reinvesting income to strengthen the family’s long-term capital base.
Build a long-term reserve of physical gold and silver as one part of a broader family asset strategy.
Evaluate land and associated water, mineral, or royalty rights with careful diligence and an appropriate ownership structure for each holding.
Design a sustainable program for the family’s children, tested against available funding and reviewed before enrollment or benefits begin.
These are long-term intentions, not a statement of current holdings, active coverage, or promised benefits.
The charter’s intention is to keep both family lines represented, preserve continuity, and pass down the discipline that makes lasting ownership possible.
Build deliberately, protect capital, and favor durable income over hurried growth.
Support approved family needs and ventures on documented terms, with clear responsibilities.
Preserve a voice for both the Salaam and Byrd lines as leadership passes to successors.
Keep the family’s own capital separate from third-party funds, and make records and reporting part of stewardship.
The founding documents outline a shared family institution with defined responsibilities, written decision rules, and named succession. The trust, holding company, and operating policies remain subject to finalization and execution.
A shared charter. Preserve capital, build income, support approved family opportunities, and prepare future generations.
Clear governance. Define management responsibilities, document major decisions, and establish successors who preserve a voice for both family lines.
Coordinated ownership. The proposed framework places a family trust above a holding company, with ownership, management, and beneficiary interests clearly documented.
A deliberate launch. Finalize the governing documents, establish accounts and records, then expand only as resources support the next phase.
